Visual & Manual Inspection
The watch is manually inspected on video to confirm appearance, alignment, and overall presentation.
Manual inspection: case, dial, hands, and overall appearance
- Case finishing and surface consistency — Checked for uniform polishing/brushing and consistent surface texture
- Dial printing clarity and marker alignment — Verified clean printing and proper alignment of indices/markers
- Hands alignment at 12 o’clock — Confirmed the hands align cleanly with the 12 o’clock reference point
- Overall visual condition — Reviewed under close inspection for visible defects or noticeable misalignment
Movement Performance Test (Timegrapher)
The movement is measured using a professional timegrapher. Readings shown are recorded in real time.
Daily Rate

Shows the average daily gain/loss. Single-digit deviation indicates stable timekeeping.
Amplitude

A general health indicator for the movement. A healthy amplitude reflects efficient power transfer.
If the amplitude is not within a healthy range, we will re-regulate the movement, replace the watch if needed, or hold shipment until it passes inspection.
Beat Error
0.1 ms
Measures beat symmetry. Lower values indicate better balance and a cleaner beat.
Beat Rate
28800 bph
Confirms the movement is running at its intended frequency (spec verification).
Together, these readings indicate a properly regulated movement at the time of testing.
Waveform Observation
A clean, stable waveform indicates consistent ticking rhythm and proper escapement function during the test.
- Waveform stability — Observed for a consistent pattern without irregular disruptions
- Signal consistency — Checked for abnormal jumps that may indicate instability

- Final-condition check — Reviewed in its final state prior to packing

What timegrapher results are considered acceptable?
We review rate stability, amplitude health, and beat error to ensure smooth performance during inspection. If readings fall outside a healthy range or show instability, we will re-check and adjust the watch before shipping. If needed, we will replace and re-test it to ensure it passes QC before dispatch.
What happens if a watch does not pass QC?
If a watch fails inspection, we will re-regulate the movement, replace the watch if needed, or hold shipment until it passes inspection.
Do you test water resistance?
Water resistance can vary by model and factory. If you need water resistance testing, please contact us before shipping so we can confirm options.
How long does the QC process take?
QC is performed before shipping. In most cases, this does not add extra processing time. If you request QC photos or videos, it may require additional time.
Can I request a specific angle or detail to be checked?
Yes. If you have special concerns (alignment, date wheel, bezel, lume, etc.), let us know and we will focus on those areas during inspection.
Is QC the same as a full service?
QC is an inspection and functional check before shipping. It is not a full disassembly service, but it helps ensure the watch is visually correct and running properly when it leaves us.
